Sidewalks along the Transitway connecting Lees to uOttawa stations will be closed as of April 24, 2016, and detours will be established.
WHEN: Starting April 24, 2016, and continuing until Confederation Line is operational in 2018.
WHY: In order to help facilitate construction of the LRT alignment between Lees and uOttawa Stations.
WHERE: The sidewalk along the existing Transitway that connects Lees to uOttawa transit stations.
PEDESTRIAN & CYCLING IMPACTS
- Pedestrians and cyclists will be required to follow all detour signage in the area that redirects them to sidewalks along the Lees Avenue Bridge, King Edward Avenue and Somerset Street.
TRANSIT SERVICES IMPACTS

RESIDENTIAL & BUSINESS IMPACTS
- There will be an increase in construction activities in the area around the Lees Avenue Bridge.
- Businesses in the area will remain open as usual.
