Last year a significant amount of work was accomplished and we are now in the final stages of construction on the O-Train Confederation Line, including final station details, testing, and certification of the escalators and elevators in the stations.
Despite the onset of winter, construction and testing and commissioning activities continue across the alignment.
Finishing work is underway at Tunney’s Pasture Station, Bayview Station and Pimisi Station and includes lighting installation, electrical outlet work, and station clean-up. Testing of the station systems within the western stations is also ongoing.
Finishing works, including installation of decorative lighting, applying fire resistant coatings, and final touch-ups are underway. At street level, crews are installing trims along the glass. Crews are also injecting grout at the HVAC on the north west corner of Lyon and Queen Street.
Ceiling structure installations continue. Finishing works and final touch-ups, including door installations and painting are underway.
Signage and lighting installation is ongoing. Crews are also painting, tiling, and caulking throughout the station. At the entrances, crews are installing lanterns and doing caulking work.
Steel installation for new glass, steel railings, and panel installations are underway. Final landscaping features are also being implemented.
Stations along the eastern alignment, including Lees, Hurdman, Tremblay, St-Laurent, Cyrville and Blair Station, are undergoing final touch-ups including glass installation and site cleaning; testing and commissioning along the eastern alignment continues.
