Wood ceiling installations, wayfinding signage installation and equipment commissioning occur along the entire alignment. The western stations advance with architectural works including landscaping, and glazing. Similarly, the downtown stations progress with ongoing installations of utility cabinets, escalators, elevators and fare vending machines. Along the eastern alignment, train testing continues at increased frequencies and speeds.
Tunney’s Pasture Station
The remaining signage is being installed as are utility cabinets and the remaining tactile wayfinding strips. Elevator work is continuing as construction progresses on the east section of the bus loop. Station landscaping is ongoing.
The wood ceiling and glazing continue to progress. The entrance lantern and the elevator shrouds near completion; handrail installation is upcoming. Landscaping works continue, including installation of pavers, plantings, concrete benches and light poles.
Crews are completing architectural finishes including the glazing works. Work on elevators and escalators continues. Landscaping advances, including light pole installations.
Utility cabinets, ceilings and stair glazing are installed throughout the station. Crews continue to install electrical finishes at the platform while wrapping up security camera installation. Next week, the east entrance soffit is anticipated to finish.
Installing wayfinding signage at the platform and concourse is the focus this week. Additionally, door frames, utility cabinets, and supports for the Passenger Information Display System (PIDS) are put in. Installation of the fare vending machines progresses.
Parliament Station – west entrance
This week, work progresses on the floors and stairway hand railings are installed. Ceiling panels and wayfinding signage continue to be erected. Exterior waterproofing occurs.
Parliament Station – east entrance
Wood ceiling panel installations are underway at the grade level entrance. On the concourse level, wall and stair tiling occur as does the installation of wayfinding signage.
The focus this week at Rideau Station is installing fare gates, fare vending machines, public art and utility cabinets. Installation of stair glazing panels, and the inter-track barrier continues.
During the month of September, hydrovacing will be required on an infrequent basis around Rideau Station and the East Portal.
Rideau Station – west entrance
The entrance lighting and fire alarm system is installed this week. Work on the escalator enclosure progresses.
Rideau Station – east entrance
The Public Address (PA) system and floor tiles are installed at the entrance. Installation of elevators, exterior glazing panels, stair railings and utility cabinets occurs.
Crews are completing the tactile wayfinding strips on the platform and concourse areas. The wood ceiling, and associated mechanical and electrical finishes near completion.
Elevators are undergoing final commissioning. The remaining tactile wayfinding strips are being installed on the concourse. Wood ceiling works are expected to continue over the coming weeks.
Wood ceiling finishes and the remaining mechanical and electrical finishes are underway. Final tactile wayfinding strips are being installed. The bus loop reaches final construction stages.
Crews are winding up testing and commissioning activities.
Current works focus on the intertrack barrier and the TSSA inspections for the escalators and elevators.
The completion of the remaining miscellaneous works is scheduled, including final elevator works.
Demobilization and final cleanup is anticipated after commissioning activities conclude.
Guideway and Testing
Train testing occurs along the entire alignment. The frequency and speed of LRV testing has increased in the east with trains now moving in Automatic Train Operation (ATO) mode between Blair and uOttawa Stations. Trains are now crossing between the eastand westbound tracks. Additionally, coupled trains are being tested in the east. Assembly of LRV34 progresses.

In the coming weeks, the following construction activities are scheduled to occur:
- Digital signband, light-band, fare gates and entrance lanterns installation in the western stations.
- Integrated entrance completion at Lyon, Parliament, and Rideau Stations.
- Public art installation at Hurdman Station.
