Mise à jour de construction

Coupled trains have been continuing test runs along the entire alignment for O-Train Line 1, the Confederation Line, at track speed (50km/hr). Architectural finishes progress at the western stations while miscellaneous finishing works in the east continue. The downtown stations are well under way with the installation of handrails, signage, tiles and escalator cladding.

West Stations

Tunney’s Pasture Station
Miscellaneous works remain, including concrete work related to the traction power substation. The wood ceiling is being completed along with mechanical and electrical finishes.

Bayview Station
Crews work toward finishing landscaping, stairway handrails and remaining signage installations. Some miscellaneous platform work is ongoing.

Pimisi Station
Architectural finishes and the landscaping at the lower concourse progress. Fare gates and fare vending machines are installed as installations of public art continue.

Central Stations

Lyon Station
Light fixtures, remaining floor tiles, and electrical door systems continue to be installed asfare gates undergo testing.

Parliament Station 
The stairways advance with the installation of handrails and floor tiles. Escalator cladding is installed and the testing and commissioning of fare gates is underway. Lighting is installed at the platform.

Parliament Station – west entrance
The vestibule doors continue to be installed, doorway tiling will occur next week. Pavers are installed.

Parliament Station – east entranceWork on the roof advances; next week aluminum panels will be installed. Floor tiling continues and cladding for the gutters is installed.

Rideau Station 
Digital signband covers are installed and floor tiles are put in. Wall installations are ongoing.

Rideau Station – west entrance
Stair and escalator cladding continue to be installed. At the concourse level, ceiling grid installations progress and the installation of the art wall glazing has begun. Fare gates are expected to be installed this week.

Rideau Station – east entrance 
Utility cabinet installations and floor tiling at the concourse level are complete. Handrails are installed, and the installation of ceiling panels advances. Fare gates are also expected to be installed this week. During the month of October, infrequent hydrovac work will be required on Waller and Nicholas Street for street light installations.

uOttawa StationGlass panels, the elevator shroud and back-lit lantern installations near completion. Crews will also be installing the remaining signage and completing paving on the pedestrian pathways.

East Stations

Lees Station
Remaining works for the wood ceiling and entrance lantern occurs. The Multi-Use Pathway (MUP) north of the station is readied for opening.

Hurdman Station
Miscellaneous items are worked on while testing and commissioning continues.

Tremblay Station
Miscellaneous items are worked on while testing and commissioning continues.

St-Laurent Station
Miscellaneous items are worked on while testing and commissioning continues.

Cyrville Station
Miscellaneous items are worked on while testing and commissioning continues.

Blair Station
The bus loop is finalized and remaining signage is installed.

Guideway and Testing

Trains are tested at increased speeds and frequencies along the entire alignment. The number of coupled trains is increasing on the track. In the east, trains are moving in Aautomatic Train Operation (ATO) mode between Blair and uOttawa Stations. Train assembly continues.

Upcoming Construction Activities

In the coming weeks, the following construction activities are scheduled to occur:

  • Reinstatement of East Portal construction site including re-instatement of the southern section of Waller Street
  • Integrated entrance completion at Lyon, Parliament, and Rideau Stations
  • Installation of public art at Tremblay and Hurdman Stations
  • Architectural finishes and landscaping works at the western stations
