This notice is to advise that, as part of the O-Train Confederation Line Light Rail Transit (LRT) Project, utility relocation works will take place on the sidewalk in front of 155 Queen Street beginning the week of July 11th.
WHAT: Crews will cut the asphalt, dig a 0.5m wide trench the length of the building face of 155 Queen Street and install new cables. The trench will be backfilled as the work progresses and the asphalt reinstated once the work is completed.
WHERE: The works involve running a new utility duct bank along the building face of 155 Queen Street, between the intersection at O’Connor Street and the building edge of 181 Queen Street (CBC).
WHEN: Works are anticipated to begin Tuesday, July 12th and last approximately 2-3 days.
PEDESTRIAN, RESIDENTIAL & BUSINESS IMPACTS
- Noise levels will be moderate to loud including asphalt saw cutting, drilling and potential hydrovac Additional noise many be generated from the vehicles on site, including back hoes.
- Full access to 155 and 181 Queen will be maintained at all times, including the building entrance, loading dock, and parking entrance.
- Pedestrians may be detoured in coned in areas along the roadway when the sidewalk is closed for work.
