Rideau Station cavern: the station continues to progress as crews waterproof and install rebar. Crews pour the invert, or base level of the tunnel. At the East Portal ramp, sheet piling continues overnight.

Lyon Station cavern: in the station, crews continue installing rebar and formwork for the concrete slab and station columns. Arch final lining concrete pours are ongoing. At the West Portal ramp, crews excavate and install reinforcements.

Lyon Station east entrance: crews install rebar and pour concrete on the station’s concourse level. On the ground floor, crews continue demolition and install formwork for the elevator walls. Final mechanical works occur.

Tunnel Excavation and Support
Running tunnel east of Parliament: mining of the running tunnel bench is ongoing.
At Pimisi Station, seen here, crews excavate station footings and mobilize to begin caisson installation, part of initial station foundation work.
Bayview Station: station foundation work is ongoing as crews drill and pour caissons. During lifting operations currently underway as part of Bayview Station work and for the safety of all Bayview pathway users, short-term closures of the multi-use pathway will be required. Flaggers are onsite to assist.
Tunney’s Pasture Station: at the temporary bus loop, crews complete final works including electrical installations.
Lees Station: crews continue working on the station foundation including drilling caissons.
Hurdman Station: the station foundation is taking shape as crews continue installing grade beams and pier caps. At the permanent bus loop, work occurs on the platforms and crews pour the concrete floor slab, and begin installing masonry at the bus operators’ building.
At Tremblay Station, shown here, the station continues to progress as crews install structural steel, backfill the platform area and prepare to begin masonry. Electrical installations and waterproofing are ongoing.

Cyrville Station: crews continue to install formwork and rebar on the concourse level. At the west end of the station, structural steel installation begins.
At Blair Station, shown here, crews pour concrete, install structural steel, complete the metal roof deck and work on the station elevators. Plumbing installation and concrete pours for duct banks continue as part of station utility work. Trackwork crews complete tamping activities at the station.
Guideway Construction – Tunney’s Pasture moving east, Bayview CPR Bridge to Preston Street, Mann Avenue Bridge to west of Lees Station, Rideau River Transitway Bridge to east of Hurdman Station and west of Tremblay Station to Blair Station
Tunney’s Pasture moving east: crews begin line drilling and hoe ramming to prepare for the TPSS installation just east of Tunney’s Pasture Station, part of initial guideway work.
Bayview CPR Bridge to Preston Street: crews continue rock removals and begin laying granular as part of guideway work.
Shown here is the area between Mann Avenue Bridge and Lees Station, where crews continue sewer work in preparation for future trackwork along this section of the guideway.
Rideau River Transitway Bridge to east of Hurdman Station: initial guideway work continues with backfilling, asphalt removals and preparations to construct the embankment east of the elevated guideway.
West of Tremblay Station to Blair Station: crews continue installing ballast and prepare to pull rail west of Tremblay Station. Between St-Laurent and Blair stations, crews complete final alignment and surveying in preparation for vehicle testing as early as the fall.
CPR Bridge near Bayview Station: crews finalize caisson drilling and mobilize to begin column installation, part of bridge renewal work. During lifting operations currently underway, and for the safety of all Bayview pathway users, short-term pathway closures will be required. Flaggers are onsite to assist.
