Installation of rebar for the foundation slab occurs. Installation of sanitary pipes and electrical/communication conduits, along with waterproofing, begin in anticipation of cavern concrete work in the coming weeks.
Lyon Station West and East Entrance
West Entrance: excavation and related activities such as piling and tieback installations are ongoing.
East Entrance: shoring and utility relocations are ongoing. Formwork, rebar and concrete pouring continue.
Parliament Station Cavern
Jawbreaker continues excavating the south drift bench, as Chewrocka prepares to excavate the remaining section of the running tunnel from Parliament Station to Rideau Station. Work is ongoing 24 hours a day, seven days a week in the tunnel.
Parliament Station West and East Entrance
Relocation of gas main begins. Mechanical and electrical removals occur, along with formwork and pouring at the parking levels.
Mining of the south drift and bench occurs and crews continue pouring starter walls and working on the arch final lining. Waterproofing is ongoing in the running tunnel.
Rideau Station West and East Entrance
West Entrance: piling is completed and crews demobilize. Mobilization for shoring and shoring begins.
East Entrance: blasting, mechanical rock excavation and line drilling continue.
Hurdman, Tremblay, St-Laurent, Cyrville and Blair Stations
At Hurdman Station, electrical duct bank installations continue, along with initial underground work. At Tremblay Station, excavation is ongoing on the station footings and crews prepare to work on the mud slabs. Crews also mobilize to begin concrete work. At St-Laurent Station, work continues on the installation of duct banks as well as footings. Watermain relocation work is ongoing.
At Cyrville Station, crews finalize formwork and begin pouring the operator building and forming the stairs.
At Blair Station, work on foundation walls including, formwork, rebar and pouring continues. Preliminary works are being completed to begin pouring the escalator pad.
Guideway construction – Hurdman Station
Crews form the deck, part of elevated guideway work, through to the end of the year.
Guideway construction – St-Laurent, Cyrville and Blair Stations
Tamping begins at Blair Station heading west. Crews continue installing duct banks and OCS foundations west of St-Laurent Station. Tracks are being installed in sections moving west. Trackwork and ballast placement occur from Cyrville Station to just west of St-Laurent Station.
Belfast Yard Administration and Maintenance Building and Yard
Crews continue installing OCS inside the building. Final architectural works are being completed. Crews finish exterior panel installation and begin pathway paving onsite. Installation of the final ballast begins at the east end of the site. Alstom vehicle tooling work is ongoing.
Belfast Yard Vehicle Storage Shed and Connector Works
Pathway paving and installation of OCS take place in the shed. Concrete pours are completed and crews begin drilling dowels as part of trackwork. Installation of the final section of the steel connector roof is ongoing. Signal work is underway at the intersection of Belfast and Tremblay roads to reinstate Tremblay Road to two lanes this week.
